Social Media & Marketing Assistant

Summary

The Marketing & Social Media Assistant (MSMA) is a position that works to ensure smooth daily operation of marketing efforts to include social media, design, events, advertising, and venue rentals. Service is a top priority for Hop Forged Brewing Company and the MSMA helps to promote a positive, fun, and family friendly image. MSMA also ensures that social media posts are scheduled, beer festivals and events are planned and executed, and executing marketing plan developed for new and existing markets. As Hop Forged Brewing grows in its production, the MSMA position is expected to grow and adapt with the business. 

Essential Functions

  • Defines company brand through events in partnership with Managing Members. 
  • Creates visible images and flyers to promote and inspire consumer awareness of events and marketing efforts. 
  • Uses software and/or hand-rendering to design products that meet the marketing needs of the organization. 
  • Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
  • Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers as well as from new audiences.
  • Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence.
  • Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach out target buyers.
  • Organizes the preparation of proposals and presentations using marketing resource materials such as brochures, data, slides, photographs, and reports to present to Managing Members.
  • Prepare status reports for Managing Members on marketing efforts. 
  • Assists management in the development and implementation strategic marketing plans for the organization.
  • Continuously monitors marketing trends and keeps a close eye on competitive products and adjust to changes in the marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the organization. 
  • Assists in researching and developing pricing policies and helps to recommend appropriate sales channels. 
  • Responsible for ensuring that the products, services and product lines resonate with current and potential customers. 
  • Provide assistance to the Managing Members for the coordination and management of events and festivals and adhering to specified deadlines and budgets.
  • Directs and orchestrates all the activities to prepare for the day of the event. 
  • May manage staff responsible for event coordination activities. 
  • Evaluates and analyzes event performance and prepares metric presentations. 
  • Follow and adhere to all safety protocols to ensure safety of themselves and others.

Physical Requirements

Travel Requirements

  • Travel is expected to be up to 5% of weekly time.

Education & Requirements

  • RBS certification
  • High school diploma

Preferred Skills

  • Associate degree or higher in business, marketing, graphic design, communication and/or any other related field
  • Two years supervisory experience; including scheduling of two or more employees
  • Understanding of beer styles and how beer is made
  • Two year’s customer service experience
  • One year sales experience
  • One year graphic design experience
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Goal oriented
  • Familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat)
  • Organizational skills/event planning experience
